Per-seat pricing vs a flat fee: the maths for a small team
Most salon software charges by the staff member. Here is what that quietly does to your bill as you grow.
Most booking software is priced per person. Add a second therapist and your bill goes up. Add a third and it goes up again. The software is doing the same job — you are simply being charged for the privilege of growing.
Where it lands
A platform at, say, £20 a person sounds reasonable for one. For a room of four it is £80 a month — nearly £1,000 a year — before card fees or any add-ons. The work that earns that money is yours; the rising bill is theirs.
A flat fee changes the incentive
Bee-booked is £10 a month for the whole practice, however many of you there are. Bring on a colleague, cover a maternity leave, run a busy summer — the price does not flinch. We do not think you should be penalised for building something bigger.
The price you join on is the price you keep
Here is the part we feel strongly about. If you join on £10 a month, you stay on £10 a month — for as long as you are with us. If we ever put our prices up for new sign-ups, your price does not move. No loyalty penalty, no quiet creep at renewal. The longer you stay, the better your deal looks.
