Cash in hand, tidy books
Plenty of visits are paid at the desk — cash, your own card reader, a bank transfer. Your booking system should record that, not fight it.
One of the practitioners we build with takes a card at booking purely as no-show cover, and takes the actual payment on the day with their own card reader. Perfectly normal — and completely invisible to software that assumes every payment happens online.
They told us they avoided marking appointments complete at all, in case the button quietly charged the client’s saved card a second time. So the diary filled up with finished visits still showing as owed, forever. The work was done; the books never closed.
Checkout, the way a visit actually ends
Bee-booked now ends a visit with one small sheet: how was it paid? Cash, your own card reader, a bank transfer, even a treatment swap — recorded, with no charge made and no fee taken. Charging the saved card is its own clearly-labelled button that names the exact amount before you press it.
- Recording an outside payment never touches a card, and we take no commission on it — it is your money.
- The charge button says what it will take before it takes it — nothing moves money by surprise.
- A settled visit cannot be settled twice; the double-charge worry is designed out, not warned about.
- The loyalty stamp question sits in the same sheet, so the end of a visit is one stop, not three.
Your card reader is your business. Our job is making sure your records agree with your till.
